About Deborah Kerr

Learn how counselling can help you

I have been practising counselling and psychotherapy in Hampton for over 22 years, offering a safe, confidential, and non-judgemental space for individuals and couples to explore their thoughts and emotions. My work is grounded in a genuine commitment to helping people live more fulfilling, balanced, and meaningful lives.

Whether we work together for a set number of sessions or on an open-ended basis, my aim is to support you in understanding yourself more deeply, overcoming difficulties, and rebuilding confidence so that you can move forward with greater clarity and self-assurance.

Over the years, I’ve supported people facing a wide range of challenges from anxiety, stress, and low self-esteem to relationship issues, loss, and life transitions. Whatever brings you to counselling, we’ll work together at your own pace, in a way that feels comfortable and right for you.

My practice is easily accessible from Hampton, Richmond, Kingston, Twickenham, Teddington, Sunbury, and Ashford.

Professional Qualifications and Experience:

I am a qualified Integrative Psychotherapeutic CounsellorGroup Facilitator in Personal DevelopmentCounselling Supervisor, and Counselling Trainer.

I work in private practice, supporting both individuals and couples, as well as supervising practising trainee and qualified counsellors. Earlier in my career, I also worked with young people in a secondary school setting, which gave me valuable insight into the challenges of family life and what shapes our lives from family dynamics — though my focus is now solely on adults.

I am an accredited member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and registered with the UKRCP (United Kingdom Register of Counsellors and Psychotherapists). I adhere fully to the BACP’s Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling and Psychotherapy and am committed to working safely, respectfully, and with integrity.

I’m passionate about ongoing professional and personal development, and see learning as a lifelong journey; something that continually enriches both my practice and the support I offer to clients.
