Counselling and Psychotherapy in Hampton, Teddington, Twickenham, Kingston and Richmond
When life feels difficult, you don’t have to face it alone.
There are times in life when we can feel overwhelmed, anxious, stuck, or unsure how to move forward. You may be struggling with anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, loss, low self-esteem, trauma, or a sense that something simply isn’t right.
Whatever challenges you are facing, counselling can provide a safe, confidential and supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings, gain greater understanding, and find new ways of coping.
My name is Deborah Kerr and I am a BACP Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist with over 23 years’ experience supporting individuals and couples through life’s challenges. I offer a warm, non-judgemental environment where you can talk openly and honestly at your own pace.
How counselling can help
Counselling offers an opportunity to step back from the pressures of everyday life and focus on what matters most – your emotional wellbeing.
Together we can explore:
- Anxiety and excessive worry
- Stress and burnout
- Relationship and family difficulties
- Trauma and past experiences
- Bereavement and loss
- Low self-esteem and confidence
- Depression and low mood
- Life transitions and personal growth
Therapy is not about being given advice or being told what to do. It is about helping you understand yourself more fully, develop healthier ways of coping, and make positive changes that feel right for you.
My approach
As an Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches to meet your individual needs. No two people are the same, which is why I believe therapy should be tailored to you rather than following a fixed formula.
My aim is to build a trusting therapeutic relationship where you feel heard, understood and supported throughout the counselling process.
What to expect
Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, and many people are unsure what to expect.
During an initial consultation we discuss what has brought you to therapy, answer any questions you may have, and consider whether we feel we can work well together.
Sessions provide a confidential space where you can talk openly, free from judgement, pressure or expectation.
Supporting clients across South West London and Surrey
I work with clients from Hampton, Teddington, Twickenham, Kingston upon Thames, Richmond, Sunbury and the surrounding areas. I offer both in-person and online counselling sessions.
Take the first step
Seeking support is often the hardest part of the journey, but it can also be the beginning of meaningful and lasting change.
If you would like to arrange an initial consultation or simply have a question about counselling, please get in touch. I would be happy to hear from you.
